Sustainability is an important principle in all our projects. We work with sustainable and recyclable materials from the best suppliers. Our skilled installers also contribute to a long lifespan.

Insulation

Insulating the roof of a building is a cost-effective way of saving energy. This is reflected in the Dutch Building Decree and other government regulations. For example, new construction projects must have a minimum Rc value of 6.0 m2.K/W. In addition, from 1 January 2023, existing office buildings larger than 100 m² must achieve energy label C or better. The most common roof insulation types are PIR, rock wool and EPS. We would be happy to advise you about the best roofing type for your project.

Solar panels

Did you know a white roof combined with solar panels delivers more energy? This type of roof covering is suitable for both new roofs and renovation projects. With existing roofs, it is important to assess the condition of the roof. If the roof covering is more than 10 years old, it may be advisable to replace it first and then install extra insulation. We would be happy to advise you about the best roofing type for use with solar panels.

Synthetic roofing

Aldi DC Groningen

In 2021-2022, Jalving installed synthetic roofing on the new distribution centre for ALDI in Groningen. A synthetic roofing system was used. This consists of a PE vapour barrier, 140 mm of PIR insulation and a single layer of FPO roofing.

Circular EPDM Rhinobond system

Eemsdelta Campus Groningen

In 2021, Jalving installed a new roof with the EPDM Rhinobond system on the Eemsdelta educational campus. The circular roofing system consists of flute fill insulation, an Alutrix vapour barrier, 140 mm of PIR insulation and EPDM installed using the Rhinobond induction system.

Synthetic roofing

Slimme Huizenfabriek in Almelo

In 2021, Jalving installed a synthetic roofing system on Plegt Vos’ Slimme Huizenfabriek (Smart Home Factory) in Almelo. A synthetic roofing system was installed. This consists of flute fill insulation, PE film, 140 mm of PIR insulation and 2.0 mm of light grey PVC. The use of thicker PVC makes the system more robust than standard roofs.
